But you do get to see some things you might not otherwise be able to see, and you get to take pictures without a throng interfering, like Santa Croce, where Michaelangelo is buried, or even wedding photography.
When it opened - and I was about 20th in line, I toured the Uffizi, and I got to see some serious medieval and Renaissance art. Because only a few of us started on the top floor, I sometimes had rooms all to myself.
Afterwards, Vicki joined me, and we visited the Museo Galileo and the Bargello. For lunch, Vicki found a wonderful place serving up tasting boards of cheese, sliced meats, and various spreads.
