We did our best on it, and there were some very interesting desserts, like a creme brulee that had curry in it.
We have struck up conversations with people in several places, and dinner last night was no exception. At the table next to us was an older British couple - he was a semi-retired actor and musician, she a second-grade teacher. He dominated the conversation, but was entertaining. He had a very different view of Brexit than the younger couple we spoke with in Cinque Terre.
After dinner, we were returning from across the Ponte Vecchio and stumbled across this young woman singing in the Mercato Nuovo. The acoustics were incredible.
